The clients needs:
A Food and Beverage customer faced high sludge volumes and
disposal costs utilising a ferric chloride treatment programme on a DAF (Dissolved Air Floatation) unit. Variable effluent quality and manual dosing of the ferric chloride resulted in inconsistent performance across the DAF unit and increased caustic consumption to adjust for the poor pH control related to the inconsistent dosing of ferric chloride.
Veolia was able to demonstrate innovative chemical and monitoring and control technologies in site trials to improve all aspects of the DAF plant performance.
