A Belgian dairy was facing strong regulatory pressure regarding its water withdrawals and effluent discharges. The Global Water Audit identified significant potential for savings.

According to the water mapping carried out, it was possible to recycle 60 m³/h of water from the milk transformation process. In addition, the site could treat and reuse up to 160 m³/h of its own wastewater.

Thanks to these recommendations, the manufacturer was able to implement an effective Reuse strategy, considerably reducing its freshwater withdrawals and discharges.
